Each year Tree Life run's a 3 day Preparatory course for the management exercises of the Professional Diploma and the Technician's Certificate examinations. This is an intensive 3 days that will help to take you through the kind of exercises you will face on the real examination. whether you attend as part of the first steps of your revision or come ready to treat it as the real examination we think you will find an enormous benefit from these 3 days so book the date in your diary & send a booking form for a place!

 

This years course has been booked for the 24th -26th of August 2010.

 

 
 
 
 

The venue - we are at the Wessex Conference Centre, Sparsholt College, Winchester, Hampshire, SO21 2NF  to attempt to help those south of the Watford gap!!!

 

The dates - the 25th, 26th and 27th of August 2009 (Tuesday - Thursday)

 

The accommodation: Full board en-suite student accommodation is available from the Wessex Conference Centre. This accommodation is available for 3 nights Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night. Full Board includes bed, breakfast, lunch and evening meal on two of the nights.

 

Deadlines - We have very limited places and so application forms need to be sent in as soon as possible and we accept all forms on a first come first served basis.

The booking form must be sent to us with a cheque or order number to be processed, this is the only way a place can be confirmed.

You need to have had your results from the written exam and have passed to be able to take the Management level exam if undertaking the Professional Diploma.

 

Two optional evening lectures will be given on two of the evenings.

 

Content: The three days will cover the required examination exercises** and provide feed back sessions covering a mixture of topics ranging from.

  •    Tree surveys, development site work, safety and tree work, legislation, statute law, common law, woodland management and current arboricultural practice.

    ·         An oral questioning session will be provided for each candidate during the three days.

    ·         Tree, Shrub, Pest and Disease identification with arboricultural significances.

Tutors: the main two tutors will be the directors of Tree Life Mr David Dowson MICFor BA (Hons) F.ARBOR.A Dip. Arb (RFS) Tech Cert (Arbor.A) CUEW Cert Ed Arboricultural Association Registered Consultant  and Mr Andrew Summerley BSc (Hons) Dip. Arb (RFS) Tech Cert (Arbor.A) DMS Cert FE M Arbor A     

 

Equipment required: Pens, scale ruler, clip board etc. Tree inspection equipment. Suitable clothing for outdoor changeable weather.

 

Times: The start of the course on the Tuesday will be 9.30 and at that point a timetable of events will be given to you. the start times for Wednesday and Thursday will be at the slightly earlier time of 9.15am.

Option 1: The course only package including just the Tree Life 3 Day Course

Cost: £300.00 +VAT*

 

Option 2: The full package including the Tree Life 3 Day Course, 3 nights of accommodation (Monday to Wednesday) including breakfast on each of the mornings, Lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and an evening meal on the Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Cost: £446.00+Vat*

 

Option 3: our half package includes the Tree Life 3 Day Course, 2 nights of accommodation (Tuesday and Wednesday) with breakfast on the Wednesday and Thursday morning, Lunch on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and an evening meal on the Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Cost: £419.00+Vat*

 

Option 4: The Lunch package includes the Tree Life 3 Day Course and Lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Cost: £338.00+Vat

Option 5: Our meals package includes the Tree Life 3 Day Course, Lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and an evening meal on Tuesday and Wednesday. 

Cost: £368.00+Vat*
