Your last chance to take the Professional Diploma in Arboriculture with Tree Life

As you may already be aware the qualifications are changing in arboriculture, as with most vocational qualifications in the UK(To read more about the changes we invite you to click here and read an article by Dave Dowson on the changes and what impact they may have). This of course means that the well recognised Professional Diploma will cease to exist in its current format and is likely to be referred to by a different name. Candidates have expressed a wish therefore to take the qualification before the qualification changes so that they can achieve the Professional Diploma and have the Dip Arb (RFS) after their name.
Candidates will be able to take the examinations until 2013 and so the qualification is achievable in this time but the only courses Tree Life will run under the Professional Diploma Syllabus will be starting in 2010 at Barcham Trees in Ely, Cambridgeshire and Westonbirt National Arboretum in Tetbury, Gloucestershire. After this time we will be working on the new syllabus, what ever this may be recognised as.
We have chosen our locations carefully for our last blast at the Professional Diploma. Barcham Trees have been a supporter of Tree Life for many years now and their training facility provides an excellent teaching facility to facilitate our candidates learning. Westonbirt is a fabulous location that we have enjoyed training at now for 12 years and we currently run our Technician's Certificate course there on a Monday, which many of you may well have been to.
For Tree Life to run a last blast course for the Professional Diploma at either or both of the locations above we need candidates to come forward and take their places. As always we will only have a limited number of places available at both venues and it will be on a first come first served basis with an entry deadline of the 7th of December 2009. We do expect this course to be popular, especially as we have not run a course at Westonbirt solely for the purposes of the Professional Diploma so if you have any questions please contact Keely at the office of 01162606939.
We like candidates to have a level 3 arboricultural qualification and relevant experience. If you are unsure on whether you have the requisite entry qualifications and experience please do not hesitate to call us as we are happy to give advice.
