Tree Life goes International with the provision of training
in Hong Kong for arboriculturists.
Tree Life was very honoured and consider it to be a privilege to be asked to provide training in Hong Kong. Dave flew in to carryout four days training, 2 days covering the application of BS 5837 Trees in Relation to Construction and an Introduction to Professional Tree Inspection with a view that the LANTRA competence certificate will be offered to the tree inspectors of Hong Kong.
Learning Never Stops (LNS) a Hong Kong based company facilitated the arrangements for the training provision and will work as a coordinator for future events.
A unique feature of the trees of Hong Kong are the many that are called ‘wall trees’, these perch on top of walls and raise their canopies high into the skyscraper skyline of Hong Kong soaking up the pollutants that fill the air.

Dave and the group made up of Government representatives, landscape architects, tree managers, engineers, nature conservation officers and others with involvement with trees talking trees on a very humid day in central Hong Kong.
Tree Life will return to Hong Kong again in December to deliver further training leading to the successful completion of the professional Tree Inspection programme for those in Hong Kong with responsibilities for inspecting and managing trees. In similar circumstances to the UK there have been a number of high profile deaths caused by falling trees in Hong Kong and this has resulted in widespread publicity in the media.
