Tree Mail Correspondence Course:

Our Tree Mail Course is designed for the Level 4 and Level 6 qualifications in arboriculture. The programme is designed to make learning even more flexible while still maintaining Tree Life's guidance in achieving the qualifications.

Correspondence courses should really only be taken if a candidate is unable to attend a classroom based courses as the face to face contact that you get from a tutor can be invaluable. Tree Life does not wish to erase this time entirely, so candidates will be offered time to come to the Syston Training venue, meet with their tutor and ensure that their portfolio's of evidence are ready for examination under the new qualifications criteria.

What aspects are important when looking at undertaking a correspondence course

  • Who will be your tutor?

  • Will you receive individual feedback on your work?

  • Can the training fit to your deadlines?

  • Do you have the support of your tutor?

The good news is that Tree Life understands what is important when candidates are looking to undertake a course and this is why:

  • Our tutors are all assigned to individuals so that you are always dealing with the same person.
  • All of our tutors hold all the necessary qualifications and beyond along with their experience to ensure that you always receive the right information.

  • Individual feedback on every piece of homework completed is vital for any candidate, pre-filled out suggested answers on their own are just not enough. For  internal assessments each candidate will know exactly how they are doing at each stage with comprehensive feed back from the tutor.

  • The training can run to a candidates timetable, we will set deadlines for work completion but  it will only act as a quide. All deadlines will be discussed with candidates to ensure they can be met.

  • The tutor will be available to you by phone, email and fax which means that they are on hand to help directly when a candidate needs it most.

When & how can you start the course:

With the changes to the qualifications the start date for the Tree Mail course will be March 2012, this may seem a little far away, however Tree Life will have the classroom based courses up and running for October 2011 so you will have the option of this training before a 2012 start date if required. A type of course such as Tree Mail needs a very different set up to others and it is important to Tree Life that we have the necessary infrastructure in place before making his course available.

Any candidate thinking about this route should consider carefully their committment to completing work on their own, coping with work and everyday life. Our experience with many candidates has shown us that very often candidates starting out along this path DO NOT complete the intended course of study due to not allocating enough time to study.

In order to register your interest in this course we would advise candidates to contact us by email (click on the icon to the right) giving your current qualifications, course preference of Level 4 or 6 and your contact details. We will add all candidates to our database and send out all updates for the Tree Mail course as and when we have them so that everyone is kept informed.
